Nature Mentoring Certificate
Join a growing learning community of educators, parents, teachers, college students and leaders for EarthWalk’s Nature Mentoring Certificate.
This inspiring four-season personal and professional development opportunity is ideal for those interested in mentoring children in nature. Learn and share outdoor teaching methods that inspire curiosity and nature-connection to support caring relationships and earth stewardship.
The Nature Mentoring Certificate includes seasonal Institute Residencies (Fall, Winter & Spring , and the Summer week-long course); 24 hour practicum; ongoing mentoring instruction; portfolio development support and Nature Mentoring Resources.

2020 Summer Nature Mentoring
This personalized 5-day outdoor field course is for adult learners who want to experience a dynamic approach and methodology in community and nature-based education. Gain skills used in mentoring children in nature, guided by principles grounded in care for one another and the Earth.
As an adult learner, you can:
Ignite your inner-fire, and tap into your own passion for learning;
Strengthen your own personal nature-connection;
Develop earth skills for yourself as well as to share;
Practice powerful techniques in mentoring;
Experience hands-on activities, games, stories and songs that can tap into children’s innate sense of curiosity and wonder, as well as your own!
Relax, rejuvenate and have some fun!
There will also be some opportunities provided throughout week to engage directly with, and learn from, children and mentors at concurrent EarthWalk Summer Camp.
This course is appropriate for classroom teachers as well as non-traditional educators who want to learn, and/or go deeper in Nature Mentoring and are ready to bring more learning outside!
