As EarthWalk builds a resilient leadership team to bring EarthWalk's programming and community-building presence back, it re-emerges from a "chyrsalis" of dormancy, restructuring towards a horizontal model of Shared Leadership. The Education and Development Directors will co-create in a new collaboration. Shared leadership, trainings and learning opportunities will be provided for incoming staff. With this new structure, accountability within the organization will be shared among staff teams and interconnecting leadership circles, including the board of directors -all holding responsibility for a resilient organization offering transformative educational programming and community.

The Education Director will join a shared leadership staff team and be the voice for EarthWalk’s transformative education programs, inspiring and engaging surrounding communities. They are responsible for managing the following: family communication, safety protocols, and mentor support for EarthWalk’s year-round nature education programs, including Summer Camps and the Village School. In addition, the Education Director will plan, develop curriculums, implement and expand EarthWalk’s education programs and invite community and school partnerships. The Development Director takes a leadership role in innovative fundraising efforts and administration, including collaborating with key staff and board members in developing the organizational fundraising plan to ensure long-term sustainability.
The Development Director will lead donor research and stewardship; grant writing and reporting; fundraising appeals and all gift processing. The Development Director works closely with the organization’s board, staff, donors and partners to develop strategies and implement action plans to fulfill our mission.
